Geezemail.com is developed by Juniper InfoTech, Pune - India . Our aim is to make available multilingual products (Geez Pro) and services (www.geezemail.com) that are designed around and support the Geez script inherently. Work is continuously been done at Juniper InfoTech to ultimately render the Geez function to a higher state of user friendliness and ease of use. I. Geezemail.com : Geezemail is a web based multilingual email service that enables users to send and receive email in Amharic, Tigrinya and other Geez script based languages as well as English. Geezemail.com has an advanced online word processor that supports the Geez script inherently. At Geezemail you can access Geez centric tools such as Typing guide, Character guide, Vowel guide, Virtual keyboard, Arabic to Geez numeral conversion/insertion and advanced Geez word processing capabilities such as syllabic form of back space and syllabic form of editing. At present we are testing online text editor Beta release V 1.0 and the service will start very soon. In coming Versions We will add chat, messaging, editable e-cards centered on the Geez script to our services. II. Geez Pro is a set of applications designed for the desktop. 1. Geez Write: A full fledged word processor which is Unicode compliant, and has advanced functionalities such as spell check (language specific- Amharic, Tigrinya etc), auto completion (i.e. long words need not be typed) and all other standard/common word processing functionalities, Geez centric tools (such as Typing guide, Character guide, Vowel guide, Virtual keyboard, Arabic to Geez numeral conversion and insertion and more) and advanced Geez word processing capabilities such as syllabic form of back space and syllabic form of editing. 2. Script Pro : A Script processor designed to work with third party applications (MS Office etc) 3. Key Wizard: A GUI based keyboard layout generator for Geez Write and Script Pro. Development for the above applications is continuously been done since 2003, but developing applications that are standard for Geez in the windows environment is very challenging i.e. windows (Microsoft) doesn't support Geez directly, many of the functionalities have to be coded (VC++) in a round about way, that takes a lot of research and time, but we have overcome many of the bottlenecks and challenges it won't be long before Geez Pro is a reality.
